Girls Write Out
Thursday, July 07, 2011

Okay, I understand the idea that retail has to stay ahead of the game, but can you believe they're already putting away summer things and stocking the shelves with school supplies? What? Most of us have just gotten out our swimsuits--okay, maybe I just got mine out to look at and dream of being that size again, but still.

Does this bother anyone but me? The day after school starts, we'll see a few pumpkins and Halloween costumes, and before Halloween can come and go, we might spot a few Thanksgiving trays. Christmas? Well, that can show up anytime between Halloween and Thanksgiving! Not that I'm complaining about that one. As you know, I love Christmas all year round. :-)

So does it bother you that we barely have time to enjoy one season before they're pushing the next thing? What ever happened to enjoying the moment? Sigh. Maybe it's just me.

Ugh....Hobby Lobby already has Christmas out. And Hallmark was putting out ornaments last week when I was there shopping for birthday cards for my summer b-day child. Do we really need Christmas 6 months out of the year?

It's a conspiracy, I tell ya,

ya see this is how it's works.
there are people who like to get their chirstmas shopping done in Janaury, that way to bet the rush.
that's all fine and Dandy,But here the kicker it's 11 months before you need the stuff! and buy that time you have forgot that you had bought any or can't remember where you put them, SO ya have to go out and buy them all over again!!!

and the powers that bee know this !
and use it!
WE have all been Brainwash to spend, spend. there's no end to this madest!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh

LOL, Jel.

Diann, I actually appreciate the fact that summer things go on sale when summer's here, so that means I get my clothing more cheaply.

LOL, Jel!

Heather, Christmas ornaments? Really? Wow. Now that's just crazy.

You're right, Cheryl, that is the upside.

Actually I work in retail and we think about Christmas 12 months out of the year. When I was the card buyer I was buying Christmas box cards in January. Talk about confusing, I am glad that with books I can wait to order most of them in June or July.

But love the summer clothes on sale in June. I stock up then and get to wear all new clothes in the summer. :-)
