HONEY I'M HOME!
Gosh, it was a great time on Kauai. I missed you all! Doesn't Kara look amazing? Such a beautiful bride. We had a great time. My cousin Mary came with me to keep me company and it was so fun and relaxing.

But I'm so glad to be home! I'm such a creature of habit. Here's what I missed: Grammy's perfect angel, my peeps (YOU! and the rest of my family), my own bed, my own shower with soft water, my cuisinart coffee maker which makes amazing coffee, my International Flavors Hazelnut creamer (I could only get Coffee Mate in Hawaii), my recliner and the solitude to write.

By the way, avoid the Indianapolis airport for a while. They just changed to the new terminal the day I flew home and we waited AN HOUR for our luggage and it took over an hour for Dave to ride the shuttle back to the old parking lot and get back to the new terminal. I wanted to rush to see my perfect angel. We got in at 3:45 and I didn't get to Ft Wayne (usually about 2 1/2 hrs from the airport) until 8!

When you travel, what do YOU miss the most?

Oh my goodness, Kara looks absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! WOW, I can't imagine how magical it must have been having a wedding ceremony on the beaches of Hawaii!!!!! Talk about a beautiful scene!

You and Dave look so happy, too! Love it!!

What I miss the most? My bed. LOL

I keep swearing Diann and I were separated at birth, and once again our answers are the same. My BED!

I usually take my favorite coffee with me when I travel. Missing that is NOT an option.

And yes, Kara looks gorgeous. Hawaii is the one place in the world where I will actually lay in the sun ... and drink virgin strawberry coladas. Sigh - I could live that life very well.

What do I miss most when I travel by air? My pillow! It always goes with me on roadtrips. I will have to say that Marriott Hotels are pretty hard to beat though bed or pillow. It's like sleeping on a cloud.

I guess by 2010 Indy airport will have the kinks out when ACFW comes to town for our conference!

My daughter got married on July 4th on the North Shore in Oahu. Destination weddings are the best! What did I miss? My mom. She passed away 3 months earlier. While standing on the beach in paradise I looked up and felt like she could see us from heaven. It was amazing. A beautirul rainbow came out and we had warm rain. The photographer told us that rain in Hawaii means a blessing.

I miss my parents the most when I go away. I have a travel bear called Fred that I take with me when I travel.

GREAT pictures! I hope you post more!!

When I travel, it usually means across 3-8+ time zones. So...what I miss most when traveling is a normal night of sleep (for a week or two). I hate waking up at ungodly hours because my body SAYS it's time to wake up. Jet lag is the pits...and gets harder and harder to adjust to, the older I get! I would make a terrible "jet-setter."

GREAT pictures, C. Everyone is tanned and beautiful. Kara looks so happy.

What do I miss the most when I travel? Home!

Love you, R

What I miss most are my two cats, Mickey and Chrissy. They always know when I'm packing to go on a trip (which is pretty rare), but they will sit inside my suitcase as if to say "take me with you."

I also miss the Arizona sunrises against the mountain backdrop.

Colleen, Dave and Kara: You are a beautiful family. Hope to see more photos/video soon. Thank you for sharing the blessed event.

Wow! These are some great shots. Tamera did a terrific job. Can't wait to see more. It was a gorgeous wedding. Hope the newlyweds made it back safe!

The thing I miss the most when traveling is my own bed. And local food. Sometimes a girl just has to have a plate of teriyaki or short ribs...
