Ladies...the final rose.

How many women do you think actually want to strangle the host of the Bachelor? As they wait and he has to stop the show and say...ladies...the final rose. Well, thank you because I really have a hard time counting TO ONE. I actually played Musical Chairs as a child.

And then, "In our most dramatic finale yet!" Gosh, I feel stupid watching that show. But I watch. And the two I called are still in it: Bevin and Tessa. If it's not Bevin, I think the guy's a real jerk and I don't think he's a jerk. But...we'll see.

I hate the catty part of this show. Everyone was sniping about Bevin playing up her ankle for sympathy. I don't think that was it at all. She's a competitor and she's off her game -- as an athlete, that's gotta kill her.

Onto the rest of my TV week. Okay, if I ever get sick, please don't put me in Seattle Grace because the doctors don't stop having sex long enough to actually perform surgery. I'm really getting over Grey's Anatomy. Is there anyone else deeply disturbed by the love connection between O'Malley and Izzie? That chemistry is SO believable. NOT! Christina, Burke, Miranda, you're our only hope. I've never been into McDreamy or Meredith. I still haven't figured out what he sees in her whiny, dysfunctional self. I'm giving it one more week.

I gave up on Desperate Housewives two seasons ago. Hollywood, out here in the real world, we actually have lives outside of the bedroom, or the stockroom, or the kitchen table, or whatever you have in store for us next. Plotlines. Get some!

So lately, in my night-time with the kids, we're watching Paula Deen on the Food Network and trying to make it together now that we got the stove. And we're watching a lot of home renovation shows -- can you tell I haven't started my new book? : )

Haha, I was waiting for a blog on this. Why do some of your blogs disappear?

ANYWAY, I think that Andy is kind of a moron. Pretty, but there's no one home. I don't think he's a jerk, but I think he's full of crap sometimes. I love Tessa and I respect Bevin, too. I was a little sad that Nicole got ousted because she always seemed like she was trying to stay neutral and didn't deserve getting hurt...but I didn't think they were right for each other, either. And I care about Tessa enough that I want her to get someone um, smart.

Sometimes I can't believe that I watch it...but then my mom (whose name is Tessa, hehe) got into it the other day and she thinks it's trash. What is this crazy power that the show has?! A friend came over and wanted to watch 24 (which I was recording!) instead of Bachelor (I don't waste DVR space on it!). He shut up when I growled angrily. LOL.

Also, I find it hilarious that you watch a southern cook! Love Paula :)

Kristin, I'm telling you, you HAVE to get the Style Network. I'd love to hear your comments on some of the makeover and home shows. The two latest ones are Style Her Famous and Dress my Nest. Style Her Famous is the show where Jay Manuel, of America's Next Top Model, takes women and makes them over in the style of their favorite celebrity. Dress My Nest is where an interior designer and stylist work together to create new living spaces for people based on their favorite outfits. That one is fun.

Of course my favorite is My Celebrity Home. They take a room from a celebrity and redo someone's like it for $3000. There's this hot, hot, hot host and contractor, Peter Marr. They showed an episode where he was in a wife beater the other day. *sigh*

Yes, I'm really shallow sometimes. :)

Yeah, I so hope it's Bevin. Tessa would be good too. Usually the last two women are polar opposites and I have strong feelings against one of them. If I remember correctly, now that he's gotten rid of Stephanie from SC, there aren't any major idiots. I was going to stop watching if he kept Stephanie past this week. She's pretty gross.

I remember what you wrote last time about him being Asperger-ish and honestly I think he really IS a nerd like he said to Bevin. I think he's awkward in spite of his looks and everything so he comes off kind of dopey. I don't think he'd being doing what he's doing if was stupid.

Yeah...so what is up with Grey's? I missed a couple of weeks (I typically watch it online after its aired). So I was behind when last weeks show aired. I had NO clue about the Izzy/George thing. What to say? Oh yeah, that's just wrong. I do like McDreamy/Meredith though. Perhaps because I'm whiny and from a dysfunctional family. There's hope for me, Kristin. ;-)

Funny too that I really like Addison now. But when she first showed up I didn't like her all that much. But I think she's a great addition to the show.

Style Network sounds great, Malia. But I'd probably be glued to the TV if I had that. I LOVE HGTV. Even have my dh watching it. In fact, he's just redone our backyard, complete with flower beds and pots on the deck.

I love What Not To Wear. Not on HGTV, but it's a great show.

Enjoyed your post, Kristin.

I love the food network! I don't usually watch Paula because southern style food makes me gag. I like Alton Brown (he is hysterical) and Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa-the way she speaks of her husband *sigh*) Another thing about the food network is that I don't have to worry about my kids seeing something they shouldn't.

For a show just for me, I pick The Office. Really funny stuff...oh! It's on tonight! Yay!

Kristin, please say you're writing about a Southern cook. A long time ago, I said if I had to choose any other career path, it would be something in the cooking industry. I love Food Network, and you guessed it, Paula Deen is my favorite. I guess growing up in the South, she reminds me of my grandmothers and aunts. My mother never cooked!

Keisha, I've thought of that idea, but it fizzled somewhere. I used to love Rachel Ray and now she sort of annoys me. I have to write what I'm interested in, that's why my books have all these different jobs in them.

I really want to do a female scientist sometime. Maybe a physicist...we'll see. Next up is an admin for a producer in Trophy Wives Club.

I also think it would be fun to do a Suze Orman-like character who has it all going on financially, but has no idea how to spend it or have fun. I love writing the socially inept. LOL

Kristin, one of my best friends is a physics major. She's going to work for NASA this summer. Socially inept...totally.

You're too funny!

I can't abide the Bachelor. One man kissing on more than one woman at a time is too orgyish for me.

Grey's Anatomy - never liked Meredith enough to keep watching.

LOL on Seattle Grace. Good observation.

I'm hooked on Idol this season. The female singers are so great!

Still into Gilmore Girls cause I'm a sap. And sadly watching the final episodes of King of Queens.

I'm cutting off cable for the summer. I need some peace!

:) Rachel

LOL! Y'all crack me up.

I'm still watching The Bachelor. Glad Stephanie SC is gone. Like Tessa and Bevin. I also really like Tina. She's the only one who they've showed asking some of the hard questions. Hello, girls, military life is not easy! I loved Tina's "Are you high maintenance?" question. I laughed out loud. She's gutsy and real!

Grey's...I still watch. McDreamy told Grey he wasn't sure he could "breathe for her anymore." I think she just got dumped. Don't like the George/Izzy thing. I feel for Callie.

Loved, loved, loved Ugly Betty this week. I think it was my favorite one ever. I did skip over a couple scenes so if there was something really raunchy, don't nag me, I didn't watch it. Thought it was the best written episode to date. Kristin
